Countertenor Irish Project is out
This time there are no arias, but songs; there is no dress code neither for the performer nor for the listener but a pair of jeans and bare feet. A small theater, a voice and a classical guitar. For the first time, Riccardo Angelo Strano strips of his “opera singer” as conventionally understood to sing one of the genres he has always loved: Irish folk.
A breath of fresh air that is good for the heart. But he will explain everything about his presence that evening, with a nice glass of Irish whiskey in his hand. Folk is often and unfairly simplified as Pop music but there is a difference: The term “pop” is as if to say “hand” and the term “folk” as if to say “fingerprint”.
The fingerprint of a people, the Irish one, who sings his continuous surrender to love: for a person, for the green nature that inspires him with his rivers, hills, gnomes and elves, for the homeland or for the traditions . It is the song of a people who possesses an identity and dignity from which we could learn a lot. Let’s experiment, let’s see what happens. Coming soon!
